Who says PSVR is expensive?

I’ve heard this quite a bit, and whilst there is some merit in the relative costs of everything and saying that it is expensive to buy the whole kit, I decided to go back in time and see just what we used to pay for our computer gaming entertainment.

Back in 1982, the Commodore 64 retailed for around £399, with the add-on 1541 floppy disk drive coming in at around £268 (give or take).

Based on inflation figures since then, this would be the equivalent of £1731 in todays money!

Consider then that you can get a PS4 and PSVR bundle for around £530, maybe it doesn’t seem so expensive any more, at least when compared to how much computer gaming used to cost us.
