Time evolution of the photoinduced change in local charge density δn(r, τ) across the triad taken from TDDFT simulations in which all ions are allowed to move freely. The magenta isosurface corresponds to a positive difference and the green one to a negative difference of 0.02 e/Å3. The movie shows an increase in the magenta color around the fullerene region with increasing time delay. This reflects an increase in local charge density in this region, the signature of the charge transfer. Also one can notice a decrease in charge density in the carotene/porphyrin region, as requested by charge neutrality, spatially modulated by areas of local polarization.
