I’m running a VR arcade, where I have one Oculus and the rest are Vives (old or pro models).
Chaperone works wonderfully and I have noticed that people almost never smack the walls when using Vive. Oculus is a different story. The boundary wall appears in the last possible moment at your face. Even a seasoned VR users like me, get’s nervous because you either don’t see the walls or you see them suddenly 5 cm away from your face.
Yes I have generous buffers between virtual wall and real wall, but Vive doesn’t need that. It slowly fades the boundaries in well before the actual wall. It doesn’t startle and gives much time to stop moving.
I found one thread about this over a year old. Is there any way adjust Oculus boundary settings now?
