A Bounty of Oculus Rift 360 Videos for your Enjoyment

My Dear Riftonians,

After the Tragic news last Thursday, today has brought a brief glimmer of light. Our blog received an anonymous submission of some pretty awesome Oculus rift content. I say content because they are not video game demos.

For those of you who don’t have a rift yet and can’t experience what they have done his first hand, these guys have given us a ton of cool 360 degree videos that work with the rift. Whilst there have been a few videos in circulation recently, their software warps ANY 360 video so that its suitable for the rift. You can quite literally look around while the video plays. Mind blowing stuff. The footage varies from Helicopter Rides to snowboarding and we have been given quite a few of these beasts so we will be releasing them over the next few days.

The anonymous contributors stressed that they don’t own the footage but wanted to show off the proof of concept. We have heard a lot recently about people wanting to make Video Productions for the rift and these video apps will give you a good feeling as to what is set for the future. From what the anonymous rifters who made these video/apps say, they have something pretty juicy lined up for us in the not to distant future and they were throwing around some pretty big names. I for one am excited to see what they come out with.

Incidentally, if you happen to be in possession of any 360 degree videos, I would be more than happy to pass them along and return an Oculus Rift 360 experience of your content. This awesome service is free of charge so I advise you make good use of their offer while it still lasts.

    Hey there,

I run a 360 video production company called Total Cinema 360. We received our Oculus last week and are very excited to begin work on it. Not really sure how to contact the original poster, but please feel free to reach out to me.
